Hello Guys!
How are you doing today? I’m doing just fine.
In today’s post I would like to share The College Boy-Outfit.
I’ve discovered this Outfit/Trend, Last Summer 2023 while I was watching several Fashion-shows online.
A week a go, it was a very sunny-day and I decided to try on this look, for the first time ! I exactly never worn a uniform like this. Although I know that in Belgium & Italy, and other countries around the world, this is a quite normal-outfit. When you are going to college, especially if you are around 6-12 years old. Everybody needs to wear the same uniform.
It’s been a quite exciting challenge, to wear a uniform like this. Not only because of the weather. But fashion & style is all about taking Risks and stepping out of your comfort-zone. Sometimes stepping out of your comfort zone and taking risks. Can be very scary.
I decided to do exactly, because it’s also the time for a new look, that keeps you feeling at your best. As I have several blazers in my wardrobe, I could use my double breasted blazer in combination with a black-short, some white socks and black loafers.
It’s the perfect combination from having a stylish and minimal outfit, the black-short keeps you in the summer mood, while the double-breasted blazer reminds you of a strict and formal area. Where you have to adapt to certain rules. The accessoires are a pair of sunglasses and a backpack that makes you ready to go back to college, and follow the rules and to educate yourself again.
While learning and education is never a bad-idea, this look is all inspired by college. And who doesn’t reminds his years at college? For some people it where good times, for other people bad times. How many times do you hear about a college-drop-out? Or how many times do you hear, thanks for my college years, I made the best-friendships!
The years at college, can be defined from both sides, good or bad. But I truly believe that college is vital for our society and especially when you grew-up. College is very important. Not only to get a certain degree. But also on a personal-level. Because it’s more than just math, that you learn at college. You learn how to be social, you discover things about yourself. You learn to explore and see how you learn, because that’s very different for everybody.
College can be a great foundation for a great-future. This is how I look at college. I remember that I discovered my passion for fashion, during my years at college, but I’ve also learned more about myself. What I’m good at, what I’n not good at. What are my interest, what I’m not interested in at all. Although I wasn’t able to finish my Marketing & Communication degree, I’ve learned so much about myself and that’s something that helps me further in my future, as well on personal- and professional level.
The funny fact is, when you grew older, The learning-aspect never stops. Because we learn a lot from time to time. It’s just the way we learn now, is far different from learning at college. We need to keep that in our minds.
What do you guys think of this outfit, and how did you experienced your years at college?
